Bleeding Hearts

Tracking his subjects for more than a year, filmmaker Andrew Morgan captures a real-life love story as musicians Zella Day and Jesse Woods join forces to create the alternative country act Chaparelle, working with musical collaborator Beau Bedford. They also fall for each other, as passionately as any jukebox ballad, while struggling to launch a new act without a label to support them. Morgan captures all the chaos and chemistry in gleaming black-and-white.
